iPhone 11 vs iPhone 11 Pro

Apple announced its trio of iPhones line-up at an event in September 2019, but are you able to tell the models apart? Don’t worry if you don’t know the features of each model as you’re not alone. In this post, we will take a look at everything that’s different and the same on the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro so you can know how the two phones stack up.

Measuring 75.7 x 150.9 x 8.3mm, the iPhone 11 features an aluminium and glass body that comes in a number of colour variants including purple, green, black, yellow, white and red variants. In contrast, the iPhone 11 Pro has a more sophisticated look as it rocks stainless steel for the frame and a matte finish. It measures 71.4 x 14 x 81.mm and is available in traditional choices like midnight green, space grey, silver and gold.

While the phone may look the same, they have two different panels with the iPhone 11 sporting a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina LCD display while the iPhone 11 Pro features a 5.8-inch Super Retina screen. As expected, the display on the iPhone 11 is stunning in terms of colour accuracy, brightness and details, but not as much as the higher Super Retina XDR display.

iPhone 11 vs iPhone 11 Pro

Both iPhones are powered by Apple’s new A13 Bionic processor, which is fast and power-efficient. Tests show that the processors are the fastest CPU and GPU in a smartphone, so you can expect an excellent performance from both phones.

One of the main differences between both models is their camera capabilities. The iPhone 11 has a dual-camera- – a 12-MP ultra-wide lens with an aperture of f/2.4 while the wide lens has an aperture of f/1.8. Those two cameras return on the iPhone 11 Pro but with a third 12-MP sensor along with a telephoto lens offering an aperture of f/2.0.

Battery Life

The battery capacity on both models has been given a boost to make them better than the iPhone XR, which was the longest-lasting battery of the previous year. Now, the iPhone 11 lasts one hour longer than the iPhone XR while the iPhone 11 Pro offers 4 hours of battery juice more than the iPhone XS. Additionally, both models offer wireless charging but the iPhone 11 pro charges faster, thanks to its 18-watt charger.

Water Resistance

As you may expect, all models are rated for the highest IP68 water resistance, which means they can stay for up to 30 meters in 2 meters of water without any worries. However, the iPhone 11 Pro offers something better as you can dip it into 4 meters of water with no ill effects.

Nothing changed about the storage tiers of both models, as shown below:

  • iPhone 11: 64GB/129GB/256GB
  • iPhone 11 Pro: 64GB/256GB/512GB

Pricing between the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro models unsurprisingly differs as the latter is $300 more expensive than the former.

The two iPhone models offer great value for money even though their specs and pricing differ. Leveraging the above comparison, you can go now ahead and purchase whichever model is suitable for you.
